Fees & Practical Info

Therapy fees in Cornwall and online

It can be hard to reach out for therapy when money, time and logistics are unclear. This page sets out my current fees, how sessions work in practice, and what to expect around cancellations and payment.

I offer person centred therapy in Cornwall (indoors and outdoors), online across the UK, and small groups and retreats in the UK and abroad.

Individual therapy fees

Fees differ for online and outdoor sessions, due to the travel involved. We’ll agree a regular day and time wherever possible, so therapy has a steady rhythm.

  • Standard individual session (50 minutes): £55 per session
  • Standard individual online session (50 minutes): £50 per session
  • Outdoors therapy in Cornwall (50 minutes, within the Falmouth–Truro–Penzance triangle): £65 per session
  • Initial 20-minute call: free

You’re very welcome to use the initial call to ask about fees, frequency, outdoor session logistics and what’s realistically sustainable for you — financially and timewise.

Payment

  • Payment is usually made by bank transfer.
  • Sessions are paid for 24 hrs in advance or on the day of the session, by agreement.
  • Full details will be confirmed when we book our first session.

Groups and retreats

Fees for therapy groups and retreats vary depending on length, location, accommodation and group size.

Each group or retreat has a clear fee structure published in advance, including what is covered (for example: facilitation, materials, accommodation, meals) and what is not (for example: travel, additional nights).

If you’d like to be kept informed about upcoming groups and retreats for emotional wellbeing in Cornwall, across the UK or abroad, you can get in touch and I’ll let you know when new dates are confirmed.

Indicative pricing

  • Short local groups in Cornwall: priced per block of sessions.
  • UK-based retreats: priced per retreat, with payment plan options where possible.
  • Retreats abroad: clearly costed with transparent breakdowns.

For current or upcoming offerings, please see the Groups & Retreats page or get in touch directly.

Affordability and access

I’m aware that therapy is a significant commitment of time, energy and money. Where possible, I hold a small number of lower-fee places for people on reduced incomes.

These spaces are limited and may not always be available. If cost is a barrier, you’re welcome to mention this when you get in touch. We can look together at what might be realistic, including frequency of sessions or time-limited work.

If I don’t have a suitable space, I may be able to signpost you to other services or organisations that offer low-cost or alternative options.

Session length, frequency and location

We’ll discuss the practical side of therapy at the start, and keep reviewing it as we go.

Length and frequency

  • Individual sessions are usually 50 minutes.
  • Most people start with weekly sessions at the same time each week.
  • We can discuss different pacing if weekly work isn’t possible for you just now.

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people come for a shorter period around a specific issue; others stay longer as part of deeper, ongoing work. We review this together.

Where sessions take place

  • In person in Cornwall – indoors in a quiet, private space.
  • Outdoors in Cornwall – usually within the Falmouth–Truro–Penzance triangle, walking or sitting, by agreement and weather permitting.
  • Online across the UK – usually via secure video platform.

Cancellations and missed sessions

A clear cancellation policy helps keep therapy reliable for both of us.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are usually charged at the full fee.
  • If I ever need to cancel a session, you will not be charged and we will reschedule where possible.

We’ll go through this together before we begin and you’ll have everything in writing.

If you need urgent or crisis support

Therapy with me is not an emergency or crisis service. I’m not able to offer 24-hour support or same-day responses.

If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to keep yourself safe, please contact your GP, NHS 111, emergency services, or appropriate crisis support in your area. You may also be able to contact local helplines or listening services for more immediate support.

We can talk together in therapy about building a wider support network around you, so you’re not carrying everything alone.

Next steps

If you’d like to explore whether person centred therapy with me is a good fit, the first step is a short, no-pressure call.
