If you need urgent help
I’m not able to offer emergency or crisis support. I cannot provide same-day responses or 24-hour contact. If you are in immediate danger, feel unable to keep yourself safe, or need urgent help, please use the services below.
If you are in immediate danger
Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department.
If you cannot speak, use the Silent Solution: call 999, then press 55 when prompted.
If you need urgent mental health support
- NHS 111 — for urgent medical or mental health advice.
- Local NHS Mental Health Crisis Team — search “NHS crisis team + your area”.
- Samaritans (116 123) — 24/7 confidential listening support.
- Text “SHOUT” to 85258 — free 24/7 crisis text line in the UK.
- Your GP — for urgent appointments or next-day support.
If you are supporting someone else in crisis, these services can also guide you.
If the situation is not an emergency
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, distressed or not sure what to do next — but it isn’t an emergency — you can still reach out to:
- Your GP
- NHS 111 (for advice outside surgery hours)
- Samaritans (116 123)
- SHOUT text line (85258)
You don’t have to be in crisis to use listening services — they are there for moments of difficulty too.
